Bowl Carving

Using traditional hand tools, students shape and hollow a wooden bowl from green wood, learning safe technique, grain awareness, and the fundamentals of balanced form.

Spoon Carving

Starting with freshly split green wood, students shape a spoon blank with an axe before refining it with straight and hook knives. Along the way, you’ll learn safe carving grips, how to read the grain, and the techniques that bring balance and character to a finished spoon.
