The Vision That Started It All
Rockbridge Creative Institute was founded with a vision to offer a path for tradesmen grounded in traditional values. In 2021, Dr. Austin Rehl, inspired by a deep commitment to the trades and a desire to shape future leaders, acquired 277 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. With a focus on craftsmanship, leadership, and hard work, RCI prepares students to build a future that is both successful and purposeful. Officially founded in 2024, our mission is to equip students with the practical skills and timeless values that are essential for creating strong, thriving communities.
A Space Designed for Inspiration and Growth
The now 375-acre campus is as much a part of the learning experience as our curriculum. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, RCI’s campus integrates natural beauty with modern facilities. The campus serves as an Old World village, a farmstead for agricultural education, and hands-on workshops where students can bring their craft to life. Our space is purposefully designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and practical learning.
